Craft & Chat

Every Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. throughout the year we meet to work on items for the homeless or lap blankets for residents in wheelchairs at Senior's Homes.  The goal of 500 pairs of mittens by December 2018 was far exceeded and reached closer to 800 pairs and together with hats and scarves were donated to help the homeless through Agincourt Community Services Association, Evangel Hall, The Sanctuary to name a few of the organizations where they were distributed. 

In December 2022 approximately 50 lap blankets for wheelchair residents were delivered to Cummer Lodge Senior’s Home in North York and were well received so already the Craft & Chat group have started working on more with a goal of doubling that number by December 2023.

Even if you are not a knitter or crocheter please feel free to join us at any time as we fellowship together and share laughs and stories over a cup of tea and cookies.
