NAOMI VAN DE VISCH- Youth for Christ

Son, Jedidiah and daughters, Rebekah, Tabitha and Alyiah.

Naomi joined Youth for Christ as the HR Administrator/Momentum Lead Coach in November 2014.  As the HR Administrator she managed staff information, created policy, and equipped and resourced the 31 YFC chapters all with the goal of "shaping a healthy and sustainable structure and culture" at YFC Canada.  In her role as Momentum Lead Coach, she helped launch staff into ministry by coaching them in personal support raising.

Recently, Naomi accepted the position of "Human Resources Director" and no doubt, will step into this role with a passion and dedication that she has always shown in her previous role.

Before joining YFC, Naomi had 13 years of experience serving a para-church ministry first as an Outreach Worker and then a Communications Coordinator.  Naomi has a BRE of Youth Ministry from Tyndale University and College.  She is married to her best friend, Shawn, who is an Associate Pastor at Calvary Church in Toronto and together they have three amazing children.

Toronto City Mission

Through God’s transformational power, we build loving relationships to bring hope to children and families impacted by poverty.

Families impacted by poverty will lead transformed lives.

  1. Compassion – We seek to stand with those who are suffering from the effects of poverty.
  2. Relationships – We value personal relationships with all our participants, partners and personnel.

  3. Dignity – We value the unique purpose and worth of every individual and seek to help them use their God-given abilities to give back to their communities.

  4. Integrity – We seek to be open and honest in all of our thoughts, words and actions

Our desire is that every child, youth and adult in our programs will come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. We also believe in:

  • Presence: We build relationships with the community and strive to be a positive presence.
  • Partnerships: We rely on the relationship with our partners in order to multiply the effectiveness and breadth of impact.

  • With the generous support of Presbyterians in Canada PWS&D works with local partners around the world to address the root causes of poverty and create new futures of hope and opportunity through programs addressing food security, livelihoods, health, human rights, refugees and emergency relief.

The Renewal Fellowship is committed to pray for the Presbyterian Church in Canada and in humility, seeks the guidance of the Holy Spirit in fulfilling God's vision and the commitments include a daily call to prayer campaign, a daily prayer calendar, a prayerful presence in the courts of the church and specific prayer meetings among other things.
